For some time now MP has handled all internet audio streams (radio) as video. I believe this was done as a workaround to display visualizations. However, I think most users prefer using Radio logos to visualizations when streaming audio.
A fix (well more of a workaround) has been done for MP 1.1.0 0002175: Internet streams in Playlist always handled as Video - MediaPortal Bugtracker for MyMusic. But how about fixing the source of the problem?
For example, if you add any information to videooverlaytop it will display in all internet audio streams (radio, radiotime plugin, Last.FM plugin). Before you ask what info one would add to videoverlay top, well, for example in Monochrome, the play indicators overlay the videowindow. This does not display correctly if they are added to videooverlay (the videowindow always displays on top) but they do display correctly if entered in videooverlaytop (which only contains some play indicators in Blue3).
If it is not possible to alter the way MP handles internet audio streams, then would it be possible to add conditional visibility for internet streams so that videooverlaytop does not appear when internet audio is streaming?
