Problem solved for me!

From a similar Thread:

"I also had this issue with Media Portal not using ffdshow at all (but everything else was). The problem was during the install of the newer ffdshow builds, there is an option that says something to the effect of "Only allow ffdshow to work with the following applications.""

With this option enabled, MP does not use ffdshow at all, thus changing ffdshow's settings won't have ANY effect at all.

Simply unchecking the "only allow"-option in ffdsgow's settings stopped video rotating instantly.
