Hi,

My Media Portal hangs when I try to start the program. Tasgmanager shows that MP eats lots of memory. Tried to start MP setup and managed to disable a lot of things (ie musicfolder is empty and also moviefolder -> no indexing problem). But now when I try to start MP setup I get the following .NET error:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system>
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Does anyone know what has happened? I can´t recall that I have installed or updated anything that shoud have messed up the system. Windows automatic updates ar though on and autoinstall (big mistage, I know..).

If anyone could help me I would be glad.

Thanx,
Chrisse

    Those types of bugs are usually only fixed through wiping all your settings (delete all databases and mediaportal.xml). If it still persists there might be some other problem.

    Thanx for your reply.

    Yes, it sure does.. But I think I´ll wait for a day or two to see if anyone has an other suggestion that I could try. I had problems with my TV card and if possible I would like to stay away from installing this again..

    Found the problem and (why am I not suprised?) that it all has to do with my TV card and settings again..

    TVDatabaseV21.db3 file/database has "crashed" good time! Eating up all system memory and hangs. Deleted the file and did a new channel scan. MP starts nicely and everything works fine except no channels are found. I´ll guess this problem has to do with my provider though because I have found TV channels before with same settings..
