MP Start Moving Pictures by extremely slow (1 Viewer)

The launch of Media Portal is by the Plugin Moving Pictures 0.7.3.623 extremely slow.

Here are a few basic conditions:

2.2 GHzCeleron, 1 GB of memory
Film Number: 900 films to 15 folders distributed over 5 disks of a computer network located.


Here's the MP start times of the Windows desktop:

without activated Moving Pictures
1. Through 0:27 minutes
2. Through 0:29 minutes

with enabled Moving Pictures
1. Through 7:14 minutes
2. Through 7:15 minutes

I'm leaning towards some kind of corruption in your database. I just had to go through the process of deleting my database and reimporting everything... took a while but it was worth it in the end because now both of my computers load MP quickly (around 15-30 seconds).

I can almost guarantee you're having the same problem. Mine occurred because I accidently was sharing my database across 2 HTPC's (I forgot to modify the config file of the 2nd machine so that it used its own local database files).

How are you connecting to your network dd129? Based on your log it looks like things are slowing down when checking for any missing files. Basically this means it is going through your list of movies and checking if each file is on the disk. If it is not, it then checks if the import path it belongs to is offline. This process should be fairly quick.

100 Mbit Ethernet switch.
Access by Explorer very quickly.
However, the path is by Junctionpoint realized.

I will at times test the drives-connection directly( meens not-Junctionpoint), perhaps changing a bit.

After I choose the folder (MP is now more manageable folder) direct integration (no Junctionpoint), Mp now starts in 1:15 minute well
