Good day

Since a couple of days I am encountering severe performance issues when using MP. No matter if I do a complete reboot or if I just wake the system up from hibernate - MP is unusablely slow, TV AND movies stutter horribly (no matter if it's HD or SD) - to sum it up, my HTPC is worthless.
I am pretty sure that I did not change anything. Neither in my MP-config nor did I update skin, plugin(s) or something like that. The only thing I surely DID update were Java, Flash and Windows of course.

Is it possible, that updating java or flash can cause severe problems like that? If not (or if I seem to be the only one with this problem ;)) what solution do you know/suggest?
I already tried updating to the lates beta (1.2 it is I think) and all my skins/plugins etc. but no help :(

Honestly I am already so desperate that I consider a complete re-install of windows to have a fresh system again, but as you all might understand I am afraid of having to go through all the setup, (re)import and adjusting until all works like I'd like it to work.

Thanks for your help

Greets

P.S: And this time I will for sure store an image of the working system which I can restore in case I encounter any problems again :D

    Hi VIXUN

*Please* always follow the support forum rules and post logs. Without logs we can't guess what is wrong so we can't help you. Providing logs is simple so there is no excuse:

    1. Find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu and start it.
    2. Select option 3 "export all currently present logs".
    3. Click "proceed".
    4. A zip file containing the logs will be created on the desktop.
    5. Post the zip file here.

Wiki info about posting logs is -->here<-- if you get stuck.

So after a complete new installation of the entire system and setting it all up as I want it to be, it seems that I got something qrong again. :(

I just rebooted the PC and therefore had a "fresh MP", and still faced stutters in live TV (SD as well es HD) and playback of a movie file. Looking on systemload, I saw that it always was between 70-100 - which is kind of odd in respect to my systemspecs.

Maybe you can find something in my logs...

    THANK YOU

Your TVSeries database seems to have a problem. Can you delete it and then try if all is okay?
And have you modded your TVSeries.SkinSettings.xml from StreamedMP?

    Hi VIXUN

Your SQLite TVSeriesDatabase4.db3 database is corrupt. It looks like it is constantly being queried or used when you are watching the mkv movie file, and that may be the problem that causes the high CPU and stuttering.

Well, that was quick. Shall I just delete the db3-file and run the import-wizard again?

Holzi: Nope - did not mod anything (at least not on purpose ;))

Maybe you can try to repair it but I'm sure mm1352000 knows more about that. =)

You could try. The fact that the database became corrupt may be a symptom of failing hardware (HDD, memory, CPU...) or issues with writing data to the HDD on going into standby/hibernate or shutting down. If this happens again then I think you should investigate those things.

Ok. I will go for the re-import option and see what the result will be.

Alright. Seems that this solved the issue. Now Ill check if there is a prob when going to/resuming from hibernate.
