MP-TVSeries - Episode thresholds (1 Viewer)

Are there any options or perhaps future plans around episode management? Like being able to set thresholds on the number of episodes to keep or keep so many weeks worth of episodes? I'm thinking about using MCEBuddy to convert over recorded .ts files into .mp4 so that I can access the recordings from other devices. However, I would need to set episode thresholds similar to that found in the MP recordings or my NAS would fill up really quick.

It is easy to write a batch file that runs via Task Scheduler that prunes older files. MP-TVSeries will detect they are 'deleted' and as long as you do not have the setting enabled to show all episode entries, they will dissapear from view (otherwise show in offline color, orange for me).

I have considered the avenue you propose but I was hoping for something a little more elegant. A process that has series info, season, episode, etc. so that you could set a per TV show retention based on different criteria other than just the count of episodes. Which brought me back to MP-TVSeries as a possible home for that logic since it houses all that information.

I was able to dig this up https://github.com/spoatacus/sickbeard-episode-cleaner but it's meant to be used with SB. I may be able to adapt that to my needs if I make sure all the recorded TV shows are in SB before I run them through MCEBuddy.

SB is awesome indeed, and can be adapted to work with pretty much anything if you take the time to configure it proper. I use it myself as well to ensure that the TV-show title are correct, so that it will import without a problem into MP-TVSeries. You can also use it to mass-rename existing collections.
