Hello,
I’ve recently finished the building of my HTPC and am very happy with it.
I have however had an issue with MediaPortal to which I can not find a solution.
Background;
Blurays are ripped and stored as mkv on desktop computer running W7. Have created a Homegroup and shared the MKV folder with the movies. HTPC has been directly connected to router for testing (and still is until I get a fix). All the drivers are up to date.
Issue;
I’ve loaded MP and set up StreamedMP and all the codecs. My issue is that when I go into Moving Pictures and select the movie I want to load the program freezes. It does not close but it goes non-responsive. With task manager open I can see that the network usage jumps to 85% and sits there for 8-10mins (this number varies) and then MP begins to respond and the movie starts.
I am sure this is a MP issue as when I load an mkv file through WMC or VLC I do not have a problem.
Hardware is as below. I have searched for answers but not yet sure what the problem actually is so the search is broad at the moment. If anyone can point me in a troubleshoot direction that would be appreciated.
Because this doesn't crash I have nothing from Watchdog.
Cheers
-Andrew
