Synopsis::

After hours of only looking TV in fullscreen mode MP begins to report an error in Mediaportal.log and also in Error.log

Code:
24.06.2006 09:40:29 Planescene(768,576,768,576,114964032,False,8):Unhandled exception in Fehler in der Anwendung. Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D bei Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.PresentInternal(tagRECT* sourceRectangle, tagRECT* destRectangle, IntPtr overrideWindow)
   bei Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.PresentInternal(tagRECT* sourceRectangle, tagRECT* destRectangle, Control overrideWindow)
   bei Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device.Present()
   bei MediaPortal.Player.PlaneScene.InternalPresentSurface(Int32 width, Int32 height, Int32 arWidth, Int32 arHeight, Boolean InRepaint)
After that the screen is freezed!

This will done more than 10 times a second and so the both logfiles have many many megabyte since I detect the problem. In some cases (when I wasn't at home) the logfiles will grown so that the harddisk is full.

You can only reboot the system. If you kill the process the freezed videowindow will stay and you can't see the desktop.

This error I have EVERY TIME!!! So, the longest run without that problem was about 7 hours. I install every day the newest build, but that problem is never fixed.

    By doing this, you are assuming that the problem is caused by MediaPortal - which is not necessarily true.

    What steps have you tried so far to isolate the cause of the problem?

    I notice that you have 2 DVB cards - does the same problem occur on either TV card?

    Does it only occur when watching live TV, or does it occur on recorded TV, DVDs or videos, too?

    Since it takes several hours to occur, is it related to a heat buildup problem in the PC or video card?

    Since there only seems to be 2 users reporting this problem, it would be helpful if you posted your support template and gave more information about exactly what occurs and what you have done to isolate the cause... :?

    That would help us to narrow down the possible cause of this problem.
