Recently I have found that mediaportal will not re-start automaticaly after the PC is re-booted.

I have the option to start mediaportal automaticaly set on, and untill recently it worked fine.

If i start media portal manually it starts OK.

Any ideas what went wrong and how to fix it.

I think the problem may have started when updating to version 1.2

Windows 7 64 bit, mediaportal 1.2 and 4theRecord TV server

Thanks

Peter

    Hi

    Without logs, difficult - but at from Windows start buttong, select 'run' and enter 'msconfig' into the popup.

    In MSCONFIG screent, look at the STARTUP tab, check that MEDIAPORTAL is set to autostart, patch is correct (to c:/Program Files(x86)/... )

    Could be MP has not reset that or you've disabled it somehow in upgrade.

    Beyond that, logs needed:->

    Thanks for the info.
    In MSCONFIG STARTUP Media portal is ther, pointing to the correct location, and enabled.

    All other programs there start up with no problems.

    I have noticed that Media portal "location" starts with "HKCU" and all the others start with HKLM. I presume this is a registry location.

    I cant get any logs as mediaportal does not start up to generate any!!!

    I will try installing mediaportal again and see what happens
