    Hello sonic,

    thanx for that tutorial! :D
    Can be used also in germany. ;)

    Some additional info:

    There is a much better converter out there tvm2xml:
    http://home.snafu.de/w.schneider/tvm2xml/

    Commandline for that converter:
    tvm2xml.exe -allnew

    For those who are always online: You can add the update procedure for the converter to "Scheduled Tasks" of windows and call it every night. Afaik MP recognizes automatically that the xmltv file is new. So you do not need to hit F3, in case of using windows scheduler.

    Very good source for your tv icons:

    Hi

    I use today nexTView EPG (together with myHTPC) , which collects the EPG information through the cable. This works fine and I also get data for
    the swiss channels (SFDRS sends also EGP data).
    So far as I know, nextTView delivers the TV-Information
    in XMLTV format.
    Can those data EPG data offered by nexTView also be used by MediaPortal without any changes ?? If not, what to do?

    thanx

    Hi, does nexTVView work with an XML-Output...?
    If yes do you have a sample of some channel entries?

    XMLTV work with Outputs like....
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <tv generator-info-name="TV Movie Clickfinder To XMLTV">
    <channel id="3SAT">
    <display-name lang="de">3SAT</display-name>
    </channel>
    <programme start="20040904235500 +0100" stop="20040905004000 +0100" channel="3SAT">
    <title lang="de">Treffpunkt Kultur</title>
    <desc lang="de"></desc>
    <category lang="de">Magazin</category>
    </programme>

    Regards

    Hi
    I will post here the format of the XML produced by nexTView file ASAP.
    Here so far, what the nexTView manual says about the output:

    Export as XMLTV:
    Open a dialog that allows to export the complete database in XML format, as defined by the xmltv.dtd version 0.5 (see xmltv project on http://sourceforge.net/) The generated file contains both the channel table and the complete TV schedule, including any networks you might have suppressed from the listing inside nxtvepg.
