Hi i've been messing with this all day as I wanted to try and sort this myself via other peoples comments on here and such but alas i'm still unsuccessful.

Basically Media Portal will not detect my usb tv tuner stick. I have made a graph and tried to enter the details into the capturecarddefinitions.xml file but it still does not detect it.

as stated above it's a Compro VideoMate U300 (U500 family) USB stick digital tuner.

I have attached the graph, can anyone help me out? this software looks like a good solution if i can get it to work!

thanks

Hi Total13, I was just about to reply saying to try the TV engine v3 but then saw that you have it solved.
Just a suggestion, can you post your solution here so if someone comes along in the future with the same issue they can see how you solved it?

Hi I have the same card/usb stick - Compro DVB-T U300 and I cannot get MP to recognize it.
Are you able to share how you managed to do this and if all is ok now?
    :D

    Hi Fotski,

I have the same card and it works well with the TV engine v3.
If you are using the original TV engive v2 then I would suggest upgrading.
If you must use the old engine for some reason (the one that is installed as default by MP) then you'll probably have to wait until T13 returns and can shed some light.

    Woohoo!!!!
:D a ton! Your suggestion was perfect!
I installed the svn media portal and tv engine v3 and everything works great.
For those unsure - not hard to do at all if following this wiki
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TV-Engine_0.3/

gotta love MP more and more, I tried dozens of other paid for products(trials of course) and didn't have anywhere near as much support for the dvb card as this engine does. And it plays better - no stuttering like some did!
    :D
