hey guys,
i got a problem with mp not using ffdshow for .mkv playback. the consequence is that i have no sound. anyway, i want mp to use ffdshow since i feel that this is the best codec that is out there.
mp works fine when i play .avi files. on the taskbar i can see the icons for haali media splitter, ffdshow video codec and ffdshow audio codec.
when i try to play a .mkv file it only uses the haali media splitter. even though i put ffdshow video codec as the codec for all video files (including h.264) and of course i put ffdshow audio codec as the one to use for audio. i really don't understand why this doesn't work. if i try to play the same file with mpc (which i configured to use ffdshow as well) it works.
anyone any ideas?
