Heh, depends who you ask. :D Silence over Christmas and New Year can also mean "too busy focussed on family and friends to keep up with what is going on with MP"... and a variety of other things. Unfortunately local testing doesn't usually cover every scenario/configuration in such a large community. At least that has been my experience. 2 weeks is a short time in the life of MP. For most of us it is only 4 days (two weekends) at most... and when you consider that it has been Christmas and New Year... I'd encourage you to get the wiki docs sorted (if you haven't already), as all changes to user interfaces require documentation to be updated before merging (though in practice it doesn't always happen in that order ;) ). Also, if you really want to get people to try your work then the best way would be to let as many people as possible know about it. Only a certain set of people will see this thread. You could write a short blog for the home page, or a comment on social media.... or something... and that may attract other people that wouldn't otherwise be aware of what is going on here. In response to the discussion in the internal thread... I'm finding the generic HID changes a bit confusing. Currently people use generic HID for more than just media keys on the keyboard. To be clear: does the "media" handler (old generic HID code) now ignore non-media keys? (I ask this because I wonder whether people can continue to use it as "fallback" in case the new HID handler doesn't work for them.) For people that currently use MCE + generic HID to get all buttons on their remote to work: is there a chance that after upgrade, button presses would be doubled/repeated due to the new HID handler also supporting MCE? (...given that HID [new] and MCE [current] would be enabled for such people after upgrade) Finally, do you have a plan/timeframe for removing the future-obsolete (MCE, and any others) handlers? P.S.: while writing this post I happened to notice that the entry point for GetRawInputData() in Win32API.cs is incorrect. Looks like that function isn't used (there's another definition that is used instead), but might pay to fix it (or remove it).
