Just put in a TV Server and 2x Clients for the inlaws last week and have been having an odd issue which I havent encountered on my setup.
I always put my clients into suspend when I dont want to watch tv anymore, sometimes i stop live tv and sometimes i just hit suspend on the remote and everytime I resume it works fine.. but I do run MP1.3 on XP - time to upgrade I know!
I have noticed however on their clients (MP1.5 on Win7) that when they resume it gives a 'connection to tv server lost' error. They are running the same hardware as i am Dell Optiplex 620 and 720 machines.
The odd thing is that when mine go into standby my screen says 'preparing to standby' as if shutting down style screen and on resume they go through a POST and boot into windows - on the inlaws systems they just literally hang for 15seconds or so then sleep and when you resume they instantly turn on straight back into MP.. Is there something I have setup differently between mine and theirs or is this a difference between XP and 7??
I cant set the 'wait for tv server' setting in config as its greyed out with 'auto-detect', ive tried adding a 10second delay on resume - but that doesnt seem to change anything!!
Ideas? I know this isnt a MP issue its something I havent done but I dont know what!!!
