PDVD11? Thanks a lot for the info... I'll install SAF6 and give it a try. Definetely, LAV Splitter is a GOOD thing that I discovered some weeks ago (while playing around with Bluray Handler Plugin).

And new nVidia 270.x drivers? Thanks again! :)

    bye!

PD: BTW, still happy v55e user... 1/1000 framedrop in hdtv (sure it has something to do with decoder I use), and nearly 0 framedrop in any other hd offline content (<10 in a 2h mkv/m2ts/bluray).

Frame dropping is also related to the audio and video clock running rates. On good systems they are almost the same and cause small amount of dropped frames (few during 2 hour movie) if running without MP audio renderer or reclock.

I use spdif passthrough for audio... so no MP audio renderer o reclock possible.

I'm quite satisfied with current performance and framedrops in my system... Only looking for lower them a little bit in HDTV maybe, which anyway is far from being a problem for me. I can live with it.

I have a feature request ;-) At the moment the displayrate changer of MP relies on mediainfo which is really bad. For example i have some online stuff which is also 24hz and mediainfo can't detect framerates from URLs. But the dshowhelper knows the frame rate (shown in SHIFT+1) what about a callback to MPs Displayrate changer. This will then be a 100% success rate instead of using mediainfo.

Also i wanna say that i'm still very lucky with V78 works fine on 3 HTPC's without any problems (with and without mpaudiorenderer).

What framedrop rate do you have in 1080i HDTV? I've got more or less 1 framedrop for every 1000 frames displayed, and I consider it hard to low down... :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

I would suggest to try with MP audio renderer - just to see if that is caused by A/V clocks having quite big drifting.

    Just a short test:
    720P: 40 000 frames drawn 0 drops
    1080i: 10 000 frames drawn 0 drops

you shouuld also try to watch CPU while playing - i have seen a htpc where background processes made spikes and then you saw a lot of dropped frames. I have constant 19-27% CPU Load on a undervolted Athlon X2 235 with Cool & Quiet enabled.

You're right. I must try MP audio renderer and get rid of spdif out, just for testing purposes... I'll do it to see if clock is having something to do with it. My HDTV framedrops seem quite "periodical".

No. My CPU is not having any noticeable spike.

    Thanks both.

OK 1000 frames seems to be too low to test. I've done some more tests today.

    V78: 1080i: Start drop: 3 Drawn: 56000 End drop: 8
    V55e: 1080i: Start drop: 2 Drawn: 44000 End drop: 9
SVN full DWM: 1080i: Start drop: 1 Drawn: 50000 End drop: 6
SVN no DWM no MMCSS: 1080i: Start drop: 2 Drawn: 45000 End drop: 7

CPU had no spikes while doing this. So it seems the frame drops are related to whatever reason ;-( sadly i've no idea how to find it out.
