    Big-big thanx!!!

f**k me hold tight, I have just tried your dshowhelper.dll v20 and it releaved me from my misery! :D
Silk smooth playback with straight horizontal green, yellow and red lines on stats screen! Even with 1080 DXVA 24fps PAL speedup to 25 with reclock (deactivated vsync corection as recommended). I sat so many hours i front of my HTPC trying to fix this issue...

This experience is comparable only with the discovery of the MPC-HT subtitle engine which allowed DXVA with subs the first time.

    Biggest thanx to Owlsroost :D

    Hi guys
Hope to find some help from you
I have a giant problem of stuttering.
I tried all your dlls but no better situation....
The problem is that every 40 seconds i have some seconds of hard stuttering with 150/200 frames dropped.....
I diasbled all plugins and using blue3wide skin to debug.
I use a samsung 27" tv conncted via dvi-hdmi cable as secondary monitor dedicated to mediaportal.
I use mp 1.1 final on windows 7 professional x86
Tried ms codecs and ffdshow, same situation.
Tried to change the (dedicated) timeshift hdd but no changes.
If i switch to vmr9 the stuttering disappear, but i have strange skin problems, like textures not visible....
I really don't know what to do!!
If some logs are needed please ask, i don't know wich log can be useful.
    Please help....
    :(

    :(

You have to use primary monitor with Media Portal. There is no way to get a proper play on secondary monitor. I told Owl to investigate.
For me primary is fine is perfect . secondary not. even in extended monitor mode. I switch primary and secondary monitor with LM remote script entering in MP and back to initial condition on exit.
(set evr renderer plus Aero on )

Thanks for your suggestion, but with xp mp was fine on secondary monitor.
And also in a previous win7 test installation, i don't remember wich mp version was, maybe 1.0.2
I can't set tv as primary cause it is not a dedicated htpc. I need to work on the other screen.
I use this setup since last 5 years without problems...

Btw i checked that setting tv as primary solve the stuttering problem.
Then i disabled and re-enabled extension on tv, re-set mp to open on tv (as secondary) and now stuttering is gone....
    Very strange....

If it's that bad, there must be something in the system stealing a lot of CPU time every 40 seconds (do you get spikes in task manager ?), or some hardware/driver causing high DPC latency (try running DPC Latency Checker ). I've had problems on my Vista system with WiFi drivers in the past.

(Some people have been reporting DPC latency problems with the recent nVidia drivers over on the nVidia forums when playing games, but this might not affect video playback).

    Thanks for your reply.
As said above i solved the problem, but i can say that while having stuttering the cpu usage was under 20% as normal, and the gpu and vpu usage are normal and stable
The first thing i done was to investigate if some process or service was using cpu or disc while video was stuttering, but no process or service or scheduled task was executing, at least nothing different from moments of good video playback.
The problem was caused by the multi monitor configuration in some way that i can't understand....

spitjo, I have similar problems with MP on secondary. I think the problem is that MP tries to sync video to the primary monitor's refresh rate even when playing on secondary. Did you try setting both displays to the same refresh rate?

I was thinking exactly the same.
By now both screens are at 60hz (tv can handle only that frequency) and i have no stuttering.
But even if i set the primary monitor at 75hz i can't reproduce the issue.
