what i saw is that: on hdtv i have flat lines just when there aren't faster movements in the video, but when there are panning or big movements on the screen the lines start to be less flatter...it sounds to me as a not really strong reliability of the sinc, differently on v67 all is almost flat in all kind of situation ;)

Might sound silly, but to me this comes across as a de-interlacing problem. What ATI version are you using. 11.2? And what are the de-interlacing settings within CCC set to? Vector Adaptive? Is pulldown detection checked?
Reason Im thinking this way is if its a renderer thing, the content shouldnt have an influence. If it is working with slow images it should be with fast movements as well. ...
Hope this makes some sense (to someone ) :)

yes , yes , yes and ....yes :)

but why with the v67 all is going perfecly ....tree lines alwas completely flat on 24p , sd tv hd tv etc etc etc ............

take a look to my last 3 screenshots they are done with v67on 24p ;)

Sorry for going OT, but... What are the recommended settings here? I have a HD5750 so enough power. What should I choose for deinterlacing/pulldown detection?

    Thanks.

just a note: tested V71 from SVN but it does work even more worse than V70. Using Cat 11.2 HD5450 und Win 7 SP 1. But V67 is still the best.

Can you be more specific - does it drop more frames, have more stutters etc ?

The lines on v70 will not be as flat as v67 - that is intentional - it was designed to lower the CPU load, as an experiment.

My guess is that the scenes with high movement generate higher CPU load - which will cause more timing variation => more ripples/spikes in the graphs.

The 'Rptd FPS' comes from the decoder/EVR mixer right at the beginning of play, when it doesn't really know if the video is progressive or interlaced - so it assumes it might need de-interlacing so it reports 48 fps instead of 24 fps. The 'Detd FPS' is calculated and averaged from the timestamps as the video plays so it's the real fps.

V70 worked quite well here watching a PAL DVD @ 50Hz with Windows DTV-DVD Decoder. Will test later with some 24P content @ 50Hz :)

V70 to v67 i'm not quite sure if there are really problems. But with V71 i've dropped frames from time to time.

OK, thanks - on my main Vista + GT430 system I think I prefer v71 but it's hard to decide.....

Since we're already talking about it, v71 is attached :) - the only difference between this and v70 is that the DWM is not under MMCSS control in v0071.

    Tony

This version requires 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package' to be installed.

If you are using the MP AudioRenderer you must use the modified version from this post - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/707555-post675.html - otherwise MP will crash...

I tested again also with V70 i've dropped frames every 10-15 minutes - no idea why. With V71 i've dropped frames every 2-3 minutes.

Watched yesterday evening 2 hours TV using latest SVN version (V71 + Vsync bug correction but still everything under MMCS) and it was working absolutely fine.
