    Tony,

I was trying to be clever and helpful by only giving you the info at the point the issue happened - apologises.

I have attached full EVR log and Mediaportal log from the point I chose ITV HD from the EPG upto a point after the dropped frame issue kicks in.

About 15 frames are dropped during the inital channel switch/stabilisation, then the channel displays fine for a while (no dropped frames), then the issue kicks in (dropped frames), after a while I stopped.

    Many thanks,

    J.

    Hi,

Ok, here the Capture shoots from LiveTV. First with original dll, second with v69.

    Best Regards
    Harald

    Haraldpeter,

To me (albeit I dont know much) it looks like you are trying to display 50fps content on to your display set at 60 - Hence you will get the saw toothing because 50 does not go nicely into 60.

    Hi Jay,

So I must live with that. It cannot change to 50Hz because of the DVI Monitor.

    hi Tony,
I do not know, I tried v69 and seems that I have a really bad quality on SD stream on LiveTV (i'm using micosoft codec), seems that deinterlacing is worse than 55 and 67... Now I will try v55b..
    thx for your job..

    HaraldPeter,

If your monitor only supports 60Hz and your content is 50Hz - then yes.

What I would suggest is that you look at using MP Audio Renderer (or Reclock) as these are designed to get "mis-matched" frequencies working (while keeping audio in sync, etc) - They allow "speedup/speedown" of the content.

    Many thanks,

    J.

I think the "speedup" is only a solution if your monitor supports 50Hz, so that you can bring 23.976fps, 24fps material to 25fps that it matches with the 50Hz monitor. For 60Hz the upspeed gap from 23fps or 24fps to 30fps is too big! If your monitor only supports 60Hz you wont get it judderfree.

    Hi there,

My HP w2207 PC Monitor only allows 60Hz via DVI. Today in the Morning I tryed MP Audiorenderer - with same results.

But with this my Aquasuite Software was killed:oops:

How did MCE managed this Mismatch ? Many peoples watch TV with MCE only on PC.

    Many Thanks

    Harald

    Hi there,

    Now I think about it - You're right. :(

    The difference is too much. 23 ---> 24 ok, 24 ----> 25 ok, 50 ---> 60 toooooo much!

Theres no problem to watch TV on a monitor. You just don't get it 100% smooth. I do sometimes also watch films on my laptop that only supports 60Hz. I think the smaller your screen is the less you notice the judder.
