How can i help to help us on this ?
    Thanks,

    I have the same problem.

I tried V2 + reclock (with vsync disabled) and I solved my problem.

It's important to know which kind of movie gives you the problem (for instance xvid 25fps, mkv h.264, ecc.)

For me the only way to solve the stutter problem with xvid 25fps is using reclock with vsync disabled with v4 DLL.

Right. Probably the best goal for owl will improve the new MP vsynch control reliability for matched fps and monitor refresh disabling reclock vsynch control in that case and check when reclock speed up /down and disable MP internal vsynch control let reclock work on that. So imho a reclock feedback could be the key to obtain a perfect brand new video renderer.

I play it with 23hz setup in my HTPC (MP use dynamic refresh to setup it).

    Thanks Guys,
    Seb.

I was using v4(without reclock) and I was quite happy with it, only small sutter few times within hour. But v2 With reclock vsync enabled is even better. Dvd is fine, when earlier there was microsutter. Tv with those scrolling text(bloomberg was worst) is fine. Hdtv is also fine. Im not sure if dvd covers 24hz in 50hz display. Currently I dont have material to test more.

    Thanks.

    Why 23 and not 24hz?

Also when you make this tests please disable all external plugins, in particular those that act on video format (intelligent frame rate, ecc.).

    Hi,

I've setup 23.976 in Dynamics Refresh that i suppose it use 23.xxx, but you are maybe right, it's maybe 24hz that is detected.
    Thx.

Re: AW: MP1 EVR Presenter/dshowhelper community development

    @Owlsroost
Could you tell us on what you're working exactly or what you're trying to fix with your next version? v4 is working really great here. Thanks for all your hard work!

I'm working on improving several areas - the main one is making sure that when EVR presenter does have to drop or repeat a frame it does it cleanly (without generating bursts of judder etc) so the visual impact is minimised. This seems difficult to do in 1:2 fps ratio situations but I hope I've got a working solution now :)

The other areas are implementing a better/more reliable way of estimating the display refresh rate, and integrating the vsync correction into the main video sample presentation scheduling logic.

I've made quite a lot of progress, but the sample scheduling is quite sensitive to code changes - it's very easy to make a minor change which breaks things badly so it drops/repeats frames all over the place - then I have to try and work out why....
