Message: <blockquote data-quote="Monchi" data-source="post: 424316" data-attributes="member: 64228">im running on windows xp sp3i solved the problem by installing the lastest directx (march 2009), installing manually the vc++redist (2008 i think, for exact version look at the installer) befor the setup of media portal, downloaded the last windows updates and finally downgraded my catalyst to version 9.3 (newer versions seems to mess the system up)i cant remember all the steps /things i tried so no guarantee for this information .... good luck!btw: my Mp is running VMR9 not EVR</blockquote>
