In the UK some radio (audio only) channels are broadcast in DVBT multiplexes. I can receive these fine from a DVBT card and the audio plays nicely in the TV-Server configuration utility preview function. The channels also show on the TV plugin in MediaPortal, even showing the programme guide. However the channels are silent when played (I'm not sure if the player starts, the busy roundal appears briefly, but nothing is heard and the UI is unchanged). TV channels play fine, audio and video. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

    Hello,

    Thank you for providing logs.

It is a little bit difficult to find your way when you don't know what you need to look for, e.g. which radio channel you are tuning to :). Can you please set the log level to DEBUG (see Wiki for an explanation how to do this), tune a radio channel and then upload a new set of logs?

OK, Sorry. In the log for today (19th) search for "BBC Radio 3" a few lines further down you'll see it fail with a null reference exception. For comparison I also tried tuning a TV channel "BBC ONE HD" which worked fine. With debug logging enabled, there is absolutely no feedback on the UI when an attempt is made to tune a radio channel, hence the numerous attempts! I've noticed this when tuning TV channels too: click on them with a mouse (or touch-pad in my case) the busy roundal does not appear unless you subsequently move the pointer. It could do with better feedback for UI actions - say change the colour of the object clicked on while the system is busy, or for a short time if the response is instant.

Hhm, radio replay is working fine on the server side, but the stream cannot be played by the client. Need to investigate this further.

@morpheus_xx , the behavior that DVB-T radio streams cannot be playeed has not changed with the latest 1.16 TV packages. Can you imagine a reason for this?

    Some background may be helpful:
I had the 2.0 version working fine (including DVBT Radio) for some months, but lately a newly tuned channel would play fine for a few minutes and then start "chirping" and becoming unlistenable. I assumed this was some "codec hell" situation and for this and a number of other reasons I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 10 (going directly to the latest "Creators Edition"). I noticed the new MediaPortal 2.1 pre-release and decided to try that. I initially could not get it to install and after some fault diagnosis found this was due to your use of a Direct-X installer that is incompatible with Windows 10. Having installed Direct-X separately using a supported installer, the MediaPortal install went fine (most users probably will not see this since they will already have Direct-X installed).

At this point, I ran into the current problem. As noted in the original post, the radio channels play fine in the server which is running on the same machine, so it is not a simple problem with a missing codec but something more complex going wrong in the client only.

I think we need to check the client version of TsReader, probably there's still an older version included.
