[QUOTE="rrroonn, post: 1235122, member: 162303"] Hi guys, I have tried many hours to sort this out and also searched for answers but have not been successful. I am looking to get away from Android and/or Linux set ups, so I thought I would try MP2 again. It looks promising but getting videos to play is killing me! Basically, I have a backend machine (W10 latest updates) running the server and client. The client on this machine plays videos and live TV without any issues. When I use the remote client (also on W10) I can play live TV without problems, but no videos will play. I have tried varios sharing options and permissions but it doesn't seem to be that. I have disabled firewalls and still no good. Anyway, I have attached logs. The following extract highlights the problem area. Any help appreciated. thank you. [code] [2017-12-14 11:41:58,878] [18227 ] [Thread100] [WARN ] - MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.VideoPlayer: Unable to play 'Resource '{e88e64a8-0233-4fdf-ba27-0b44c6a39ae9}:///F:/video/movies/Action/Die Hard/A Good Day To Die Hard.mkv' at system '66714c74-d0f2-4981-add4-2c3c1a42eec7' System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007007E): The specified module could not be found. at DirectShow.Helper.HRESULT.Throw() at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.BaseDXPlayer.AddSourceFilter() at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.BaseDXPlayer.SetMediaItem(IResourceLocator locator, String mediaItemTitle, MediaItem mediaItem) at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.VideoPlayerBuilder.GetPlayer(MediaItem mediaItem) [2017-12-14 11:41:58,881] [18230 ] [Thread100] [ERROR] - Unable to create media player for media item 'A Good Day to Die Hard (2014)' System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007007E): The specified module could not be found. at DirectShow.Helper.HRESULT.Throw() at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.BaseDXPlayer.AddSourceFilter() at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.BaseDXPlayer.SetMediaItem(IResourceLocator locator, String mediaItemTitle, MediaItem mediaItem) at MediaPortal.UI.Players.Video.VideoPlayerBuilder.GetPlayer(MediaItem mediaItem) at MediaPortal.UI.Services.Players.PlayerManager.BuildPlayer_NoLock(MediaItem mediaItem, ICollection`1& exceptions) [2017-12-14 11:41:59,333] [18682 ] [AMQ 'UPnPRendererPlugin'] [ERROR] - Player Error [/code] [/QUOTE]
