Hi,
This is my first post....be gentle. I've been using MP1 for a couple of years as a single seat install under my TV. I've just built a PC in another room and would like to stream TV to it. Seeing that MP2 is now available I've gone for that.
The PC is a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64.
I've installed MP2 and tried to follow the guide here: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Us...d_Guides/1_Step_By_Step_Setup/4_Live_TV_Setup

I've got MP extended installed on the MP1 server, created a new account etc.. I believe that the MP1 server is configured (it's already working perfectly on the single seat install).

On the MP2 client end, I've done a standard client install. Deleted the NativeProvider plugin and installed the mpextended plugin (as per https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp2-live-tv-setup-help.131562/) . Also done a regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Plugins\VideoPlayers\tsreader.ax" as admin and had the OK message back.
I've set the server username + pw in MP2 interface. When I go into TV on MP2, it grabs the TV guide so I know it's connecting on some level, but I see the error '- no media item -' flash up with a (slightly) more detailed 'There is no player registered to play media item stream3.0'.
I've hunted around the forums and found a suggestion to update the C++ redistributes, which I've done.

I've attached what I think is the appropriate log. Can anyone suggest what I'm missing? I haven't installed any codecs since install, could that be it?

On a more general note, good work on MP2.. it's looking excellent.

I've had some success.
I thought I'd give MP1 Client a go and was getting the same error (slightly different wording on the error). I started troubleshooting that with a view to just use MP1.
I found and followed the advice on this thread:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/help-unable-to-play-stream-3-0.103105/

Which is basically to set the TV server IP as a static IP address both in the NIC settings and in the TV server settings (where you can change the rstp port).
Then changed the client to point at the static IP and bingo!

No idea what the issue is with DHCP addresses, something to do with the NetBIOS resolution..
