mp4 wont play with MP inbuilt player (1 Viewer)

Hi
I have MP latest stable release
I cant get .mp4 files to play within MPas I just get sound. Media player11 and classic will play them out of the MP environment. Codec I am using is ffd show.. it is in the file extensions on the ffd setup tab. None of the codecs in fact will play from within mp. I have halii splitter et al.
Any Ideas?

This is tested and shows how to setup MP together with the codecs.

I was having trouble getting .mp4 videos to work within MP as well - I changed the file extension from .mp4 to .avi and now they work fine (with ffdshow)
