MPC splitter: MKV with 2 audio streams problems (1 Viewer)

I never had problems with the Haali splitter untill MKV's got released with HD audio. Haali seems to not be capable to play them. Their website doesnt have a forum, the last beta dates ages ago and a mail to haali one week ago hasnt been answered so you can imagine im fed up with that splitter.

I tried MPC splitter and no problems with MKV with trueHD but the subs didnt work. Then i found a thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...es-m2ts-mkv-mpc-splitter-matroska-mpeg-78177/) and got my hopes back that they patched the subs DLL and yay! subs work.

So i thought i was done but then MP was unable to play 50% of my regular MKV's, seems that when their are 2 audiostreams present (in my case DTS and AC3) MP is unable to play them, no error but it just switched right back to the movpics.

Does anyone have a sollution for this? So i can kick haali out for good

I use SAF and the latest beta (3305) of FFDSHOW. I tried posting on FFDSHOW forums, doom9 forums but like always no reply there.

I have try again in myvideo and i can swtich Audio stream (with ffdshow stream switcher checked) with DTS and AC3 stream and it work.
Could you provide a sample to try by myself ?

Hi,

I'll try to explain how make it work with MPC Matroska splitter for :

1- Audio switching (from DTS to AC3)
2- Subtitle

What you need ? (you need to unregister Haali or uninstall it)

1- Matroska Filter in source mode : Standalone Filter MPC

2- Setup it in source filter with this Regfile :
For x64 OS : Reg file to enable Mastroska Filter MPC in source mode MKV_MPC_ETC_X64.rar
For x86 OS : Reg file to enable Mastroska Filter MPC in source mode MKV_MPC_ETC_X86.rar

3- FFDshow for switching audio with Option "Stream Switcher" enable :

4- Cpp2005 provide a patch (thanks to him to add this support) for the dll mpcsubs.dll that enable embedded subtitle.
-> All working Good

Now in MovPics or MyVideo, you can switch audio and see subtitle

Ps : On some HTPC, i must disable Media Foundation with tool : Win7DSFilterTweaker for X64 and X86.

I just setup hd audio bitstreaming on my 5450 yesterday and after taking the codec obstacle course this was the only thing that would keep me from removing haali... now i can... thank you!

Hi,

I try to learn C# to add possibility of use it with or without FFDshow stream Switcher, but i don't now how, i think we must put an audioswitcher in graph or maybe other solution, because if we use streamswitcher make an issue about .m2ts audio stream.

this solution enabled me watching dts, dts-ma files without any problem.

although, a different problem rose to me from that solution:
xvid files can no longer be played!
