Config also crashing after upgrading from 1.5.0.
Do not know if it's same error though.

    Hi,

Your log look strange, it seems you have an MP 1.5.0 with plugin Auto3D that required some method.
    Can you move your plugin folder : C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins (to somewhere else) and reinstall MP 1.5.100 (1.6.0 Pre-Release) ? :)

Like this you will start MP with stock plugins and if all is ok, you can copy your plugins one by one and find the trouble one :)
    Good luck :)

Checked first. If I try to reinstall it asks me for repair.
Will try to remove plugins and basically install from scratch.

I imagine it must have been installed as the 1.6 pre-release page https://www.team-mediaportal.com/news/mediaportal-1-6-0-pre-release-ready says that the installer will fail if not.

Also, 1.5 was working and that needed .NET 4 didn't it?

I just tried installing it again anyway and it says it's already installed.

Programs and Features shows ".NET Framework 4.5", ".Net Framework 4 Client Profile Language Pack" and ".Net Framework 4 Extended Language Pack". I'm not sure why I've got the last two or where they came from, as I doubt they're needed for English.

True, just trying to confirm it's installed.

1.5 was compiled against a lower version of .NET (3.5.1)

Programs and Features shows ".NET Framework 4.5", ".Net Framework 4 Client Profile Language Pack" and ".Net Framework 4 Extended Language Pack". I'm not sure why I've got the last two or where they came from, as I doubt they're needed for English.
The last 2 probably came from windows update, and are related to the Client Profile (which isn't the FULL version). But it seems you got that installed.

@Sebastiii might have found a possible cause for this error, but need him to comment on that, since i don't know current status.

Yep we need full NET4.0 installer :)
Normally installer should warn if not installed but maybe we have an issue on that.
Can you try to install full NET4 package ?
    Thanks ;)
