    Hi,

I've received a few reports about MPExtended Service 0.5.1 randomly crashing and being unstable. However, I cannot reproduce this problem on any of my own installations, so that makes it a bit hard to fix. I'm also unable to find anything in the code difference between 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 which can potentially cause this behaviour.

I'd like to get some more information on this matter. It'd be great if anyone could post the following here (as far it hasn't been posted in another topic yet)
    • Full MPExtended logs, as exported by the configurator
    • The (approximate) date and time the crash happened
    • Anything unusal leading up to the crash (i.e. what did you do before the crash, did it happen after startup/resume, when you started using WebMP/aMPdroid/MP, etc)
    • Anything associated with the crash in the event viewer. This is usually in the Windows Logs > Application log, of level 'Error' and source '.NET Runtime' or 'Application Error'. Please copy the full text on the General tab and the data below it for all error events that happened about the time of the crash and seem to be related to MPExtended. See this screenshot. Submitting too much information doesn't hurt.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oxan

i will try to collect more data on my system and attach more logs so you can analyze it , after moving to version 0.51 from 0.43 which was very stable things started to become unstable , yesterday i had a crash after resuming from sleep mode . when i press start the service form the mpextended gui everything works fine until next time that i see the service red stopped.

will collect more data later today and attach it.

    thanks

    Hi Oxan

Ok i collected the mpextended logs and they are attached now.
there is a chance that found the reason why the service is not stable , after looking in my event log applications i see lots of error related to bonjour service which as far as i know is responsible for autodetection i hope that i am correct.

i had an old version maybe so i decided to remove it and afterwards did some test by going to standby and back then try to stream data using ampdroid tv.
i dont see this error for the last half an hour so i am not sure but here is the error i captured on windows event log.

at the moment all is stable ill report back if anything change.

here is the collected data from my event logs in windows.
i hope this will help you understand the issue.

    thanks

    Tzach

Ok, so you've uninstalled Bonjour and it is stable now?

    I have three subsequent errors.

The logs from MPExtended are in logs.zip
The events from Windows are in Errors.zip in three separate txt-files.
