MP's poor media db customisation - Possible Workaround for External TV Recordings (1 Viewer)

The oldest consistent MP requests in the forums has been for better parsing in MyVideos for multiple part movies, and a way of adding TV recordings from other apps. I have no ideas for a hack around to get the movie files working, but do have an idea using this plugin to add TV recordings to MP in a way that does not require the nightmare of viewing by shares in MyVideos.

Could an option be added to My TVseries so that all unknown shows be available as a Series (eg MyTVRecordings etc). The records can easily be pulled by parsing a user set keyword in the recording apps file naming config.

eg From Webscheduler.

My current file format; (2008-04-14 00-09) MotoGP TEN Digital.ts
Can easily be; DTV(2008-04-14 00-09) MotoGP TEN Digital.ts

Perhaps what I hope to achieve can already be done in a regexpr on the original filename by looking for the date and time between the brackets, or using the renamed version?

This would also be great for things like Doco History, Doco Science, Sport Football, Sport Motoracing etc.

MP2 will be a lot more flexible Database structure wise, so that may do the wonderful things a lot of people have asked.

Don't know whether you have noticed, but everyone has been a bit busy around here with the launch of MP1.
