I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and MP 1.1.0.
I was previously using MP 1.0.2 and am tuning free to air satelitte TV with 2 tuner cards. All the channels come from two transponders so with two tuner cards I was able to have one card set to one transponder and the other to the 2nd transponder. With this setting I was able to watch and or record as many freeview channels as I wanted at once.
This was very good as have multiple client PC's around the house.
With MP 1.1.0 i have tuner cards set the same but have found can only record or watch one channel per tuner.
How can this be made the same as MP1.0.2?

Thanks Brendon

Please post clean debug logging. This will show why you can or cannot watch a channel.

My free satellite channels come from 2 frequencies on the same transponder.
Channels TV1, TV2, Maori, TVNZ 6 and TVNZ 7 are from frequency 12483000
Channels TV3, C4, C4-2, Te Reo, Stratos, Prime, Shine, Parliament TV, Cue and TV3 Plus 1 are from frequency 12456000
The other channels are from my Sky TV set top box which go through a PVR150 A/V input

On my old MP 1.0.2 I had 2 satellite tuners with all channels from one frequency set to one tuner and the other channels to the other tuner.
I could then watch or record as many of those channels at the same time as I wanted. Was good as allowed other clients around the house to view any of those channels without conflict or restriction

In the new MP 1.1.0 I can only record one channel per tuner, so i added my hauppage NOVA-S tuner to give me 3 tuners so then 3 channels

Cant exactly remember what channels I was trying to record in those logs but if I was to record channels Prime, TV3 and TV2 then try to watch another channel it will pop up saying No free tuner or something similar

Hope this helps
Thanks

I will try to look in to this tonight.

According to your logs it thinks

channel #1 DVBS:tv:Television New Zealand TV ONE Freq:12483000 ONID:47 TSID:22 SID:1909 PMT:0x111 FTA:True LCN:79 SymbolRate:22500 Modulation:ModNotSet Polarisation:LinearH InnerFecRate:Rate3_4 DisEqc:None band:NaBandStackedKuLo Pilot:NotSet RollOff:NotSet

Is a different transponder then

channel #1 DVBS:tv:Television New Zealand TV2 Freq:12483000 ONID:47 TSID:22 SID:1036 PMT:0x10E FTA:True LCN:48 SymbolRate:22500 Modulation:ModNotSet Polarisation:LinearH InnerFecRate:Rate3_4 DisEqc:None band:NaBandStackedKuLo Pilot:NotSet RollOff:NotSet

Where i do not see any difference.

Is there something special how you have setup the cards? (Hybrid groups, ir blasters etc.)

Those 2 channel details you showed should be from the same povider, same freq and same transponder.

I have a TBS6980 dual DVB-S tuner. A Hauppauge Nova-S DVB-S tuner and a Hauppauge PVR150 that is used I have my pay tv Set top box connected to, so this card is set up as hybrid.
I am using a Microsoft MCE remote and am using a blaster from that to change channels on the Set top box

i think i found it after all. You could try to do the following for your channels:

Edit your channel(s).
Edit the tuningdetail and select "ModNotDefined" instead of "ModNotSet".

This could solve it for you.

I will discuss the actual problem behind it internally to see how it has to be fixed.

Yep thats better, changed all satellite channels to "ModNotDefined" and can now record as many as I want at the same time now.

Thanks

Brendon
