Hiya guys. As this is my first post let me start with a big thankyou to you all for this amazing piece of software. Been fooling around with MCE for months and when I unwillingly downloaded this as I was struggling with dvb-s2, I was so impressed its now my one and only media center serving clients all over the house.

The question which you've probably guessed from the title is - Is there anyway to share a single viewing card with several tuners being used at the same time?

I'm now in the market to buy a new card, as my budget 3200 has broken. Best looking thing seems to be the firedtv s2. It seems very popular and I would prefer the external one so it can go ontop of my Sky box to easily swap the cards over for their refresh (my full size pc is built into the chimney breast behing the electric fire - a pain to get to).

I am also wanting to eventually have two tuners, but have them share the same card just like the sky hd box does. I've heard rumors here and there for example splitting the ci slots ribbon cable on the 3200 but I cannot seem to find a definite answer to my question. Also while I'm at it what would be the best s2 card if not this one (or is there a dual firedtv card in the making)?

Thanks very much in advance, your answers are really appreciated.

-Dale!

Not sure about your origional question, there are solutions like diablo wireless cam, but I don't have experience with them.

What I do know, is that you can watch different channels within the same transponder with 1 firedtv tuner. (If your cam supports multiple channel decryption in the same time)

I have a FireDTV/C with alphacrypt CAM and can tune to at least 4 different channels within the same transponder. (I believe the maximum of this cam is 12 channels) So, it's worth the money to spend some extra $$ at a cam that can do simultanious decoding.
