Multiple TV Servers (1 Viewer)

Has anyone got this working?

I have a TV Server running on Windows 2003, with SQL 2005 Standard Edition. All can be seen from the network, with a remote client working perfectly.

If I install TV Service (Using the same 30/2/2008 build as the main server) on another machine, the server config app asks to start the server which start successfully, but the configuration UI never starts. I see it running in process monitor with about 35mb memory used but no matter how long I leave it the UI never appears.

When I check on the master server, the service has stopped. Starting the service again finally displays the UI, which shows the new server but no tree items other than the "TV Servers" tree, all of the other configuration trees have disappeared.

Neither the master nor slave TV Services ever stay up in a useable state and there is nothing useful in the log files.

Has anyone got this going with a recent build, and if not is it ever likely to work?

basically using slave servers is currently broken and has been for a while.

I don't see this as a bug in Mantis, how does this get raised as I guess it won't be fixed unless it's on the list?
