I installed RC2 yesterday on existing RC 1 installations on two machines: One with DVB-S Card and TV-Server, one on a separate machine. On the TV-Server machine SQLServer 2005 Express is installed. The setup worked under RC 1 with various SVN builds. ok. it was buggy, but that's the reason why I now wanted to try RC 2.

On the machine with TV-Server now Mediaportal does not connect to the Database. When entering TV, it asks to enter the IP address again. When I enter the TV-Server's name, the message is "Connect to TV server ok", but "unable to connect to database". The error log contains an error "TVHome: Error in Reload - No <DefaultProvider> entry found in the configuration file", see attached logfiles. From the remote machine TV works fine so far.

I installed MP using the defaults, also the password for sa is the default.

Any ideas or proposals? Did anybody get RC2 running as multiseat?

    Solved

Did a manual de-install on all systems, and then re-installed RC2. Seems to work now.

    Thank you.
