Could it be my audio codec?

Yes, it could be - I suggest you set your video and audio decoders to be the MP supplied Dscaler ones, at least until you get these problems resolved. Then you can try other decoders to see if they are better.

Also, your log file indicates that MediaPortal is stuck in a loop trying to play a radio station (DVBGraphBDA:TuneRadioChannel() tune to radio station:Nova 91.9) which repeats every couple of seconds and that probably explains why your music is being interrupted.

Go into MP configuration and check that none of the radio stations (in Radio \ Stations) has a tick in the check-box. A tick against any of these stations will cause MediaPortal to automatically play that station when first launched. And that's what it looks like is happening here.

Thankyou so much. Having unticked the box beside Nova worked. I didn't realise having it ticked caused it to start playing. Thanks once again
