I want to use an old dell and geforce 2 with s-video out to connect to my tv.
then use software like media portal as the frontend software. and just use a wireless mouse to control it.
is this possible?

Chenge your card into a DX9 card, and you'll be fine.

    Try a Nvidio 5200, or a Radeon 9550
They are low cost, and come passively cooled

:EDIT: - or you can just try - it's free ;)

Most retailcards come with this - and I dont know where you live, so no... A better solution would be to make/buy a vga-scart cable. Google it, and you'll find the schematics (or a place to buy it)

Good luck, looking forward to hearing from you. :)

AH you should have said you were getting a new board!

You could have bought something based on the RS480 chipset, which would give you onboard DX9 graphics.

yes, but i really dont want to spend a lot of money,
the new board cost me £30.
and i had to buy a s-video adaptor of ebay which was £5.

    £35 = Everything i need now.
