Dear MediaPortal Community,

after searching the forum and the internet I am posting today myself. First of all I find MP a incredible piece of software and Im thankful for all the hard work coders and supporters invested.

However there is a constant crash occuring when trying to import an audio CD. Windows 7 says "MediaPortal is not working anymore". I suspect my configuration to be the reason for this.

I am using a clean installed and updated Win 7 and implemented successfully a few skins and plugins. So my question ist... did I miss to configure something or are conflicts between plugins and skins known what may cause this error?

What troubleshooting-tactic should I use?

Thank you!

How do you "import an audio CD"? Do you mean ripping it to the harddrive as MP3's?

    Hi,

I have the same problem. How did you solve it?
I checked LAME homepage but there is only source code available. I downloaded it and compiled it with MS Visual Studio 2010. After that I put the dll and lib file into the Mediaportal directory. I still get the same error. Must I configure something in the Mediaportal to get it work?

I found the problem. In my case the temp directory in the install directory was missing.
