music db lockup (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0 official
MediaPortal Skin: spinpoint revolve
Windows Version: xp


When I try to update my db through mediaportal setup it just hangs itself after 5-6000 songs, the log file just says it finds alot of files wiith no tag, using file name...
is it some limit to the db?

Hi,
It shouldn't have problem with the number of songs, successfully scanned above 60 000 songs here.
Try to use a SVN (just grab the latest) & test again, many fixes to the tag reader since final release.

I tried a new svn and everything went black, can you suggest one you know work?

Hi,
The latest works good here on my comp's, use BlueTwo skin for testing other skins can be missing some updates done lately, if it doesn't work attach (Go Advanced) your mediaportal.log to your post.

seems like bluetwo worked, spinsafe revolve looks a ton better but... trying to update my db now, let you know how it goes, only have 12000 songs

seems it stopped now also but something more came up in the log file:

It should read further & add the rest to db, but now you know which files that's cause it......

tried removing moonbabies album and then the error message is the same as before before the lockup again, attaching the log files

Hi,
Use a program like Tag&Rename to check the files that gives the error.
From the log it seams to read after the exception occurs.........
