Synopsis::

I have my media library sorted in this order

Full Album Sorting (only if I have the complete album):
/Artist/Album/[Track] [Title]

Singles (if I don't own the complete album):
/[Artist] - [Title]

When importing this to MediaPortal, and using the Artist/Album/Title view, this all works well. For example, all Blink 182 songs are sorted in the Blink 182 folder in MediaPortal. But when I open the Blink 182
folder, all the 'singles' (files without any album tag), are seperatly sorted into indivudual folder called "unknown". Here's a pic: http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/7981/mediaportalgh3.jpg

I would really like MediaPortal to group all these unknown albums into 1 unknown album. Surely this must be possible, because it's like this in every other media player I've used. Thing is, I can't get it to work. Could someone please fill me in?

I solved this by updating all ID3-tags - if I don't own the whole album, I have the album defined as "Singles" and so I have one folder called "Singles" instead of the different "unknown".

I don't know if there is a different solution within MP, but this one definatly works well 8) .

configuration --> Music --> Music Views:

then select new in the above drop down menu and type in a name you like and then put in the first row --> selection: artist, and in the second row --> selection: title.

leave the rest empty.

if i get you right, this is what you want - if not i'm sure you'll achieve it by playing around with this feature.
