ok, wollte ich wissen.
im ersten anhang eine liste welche titel "errors" erzeugen.
bei welchem und warum dann import hängt, weiss ich nicht. merkst du aber bei import step by step und evtl. korrektur der dateinamen
die musst du mal rausschieben aus deinen importpfaden.
meine bereinigte (deine org db) rein und titel import testen ! (aber nicht die errors)
apropos gepflegte db etliche schreibweisen/textformatierungen sind so bekloppt, das im www wirklich nichts zu finden ist.
aber naja, jedem seines
simples beispiel da "artist feat. yyy - title" millionenfach vorkommt und fast nie zu einer db imm www führt, mache ich dies so "artist - titel (feat.xxx)" schon funktioniert update der daten.
beispiel aus deiner liste "Selig ft. Ina Müller - track" -> "selig - track (feat. ina müller)"
und ersparst dir zusätzlichen baum eintrag als artist und fehlende album die es so nicht gibt

Das mit den Dateinamen kann ich nachvollziehen.

Der Import funktioniert, nach dem Entfernen der genannten Clips, nun wirklich! SUPER!!!
Drei Fragen:
1. Benennung der Files bei 'Vornamen'-'Nachnamen' oder 'the'?
Das Feld 'sort by' funktioniert doch nach wie vor nicht. Wenn ich z.B. Elton John nicht unter 'E' sondern unter 'J' finden möchte?
2. Bist du bein deinen Recherchen nur anhand der mvcentral.log vorgangen, oder gibt es noch andere Ansätze?
3. Muss ich nur die Ordner-/File-Struktur anpassen oder auch was in der DB?

ich verwende IMMER org. "artist - titel" einschl. "the" bei bandname wenn dem org. entspricht -> google hilft, wenn du nicht sicher
nur die logs
du kannst dir nicht deine eigene sortiermethode zrecht basteln
name ist nun mal "Elton John" und somit unter "E" !egal wie deine eigene ordnerstruktur aussieht.
eigendlich hast du dir alles selber erschwert mit deiner struktur. ich habe ALLE clips in EINEM ordner (wozu die mehrarbeit) , dabei sauber "benannt" (beim ersten import auch klar erkennbar wo fehler, korrigieren bis erkannt wird)
und alle anderen sortier/such optionen übernimmt mvcentral selbst und auch perfekt !

I have ALL clips (is detected at the first import also clearly visible where error-correct, to) in ONE folder, while clean "named" and all other sorting / search options accepts mvcentral itself and also perfect !

Hm, wie gesagt, das mit den Dateinamen kann ich ja noch verstehen, um bessere Ergebnisse in der Suche zu erhalten.
Aber dann sollte doch wenigstens die Möglichkeit bestehen, das Feld 'sort by' nutzbar zu machen (ist übrigens auch im Musik-Modul nicht möglich, in Moving-Pictures dagegen funktionert das wunderbar!).

Was ist an 'meiner Sortiermethode' so außergwöhnlich? Ich würde bei Vornamen/Nachnamen immer nach Nachnamen suchen. Ich sag nur Telefonbuch...
Was meine Ordnerstruktur angeht, da bin ich einfach ein gebranntes Kind. Es war lange Zeit so, dass man Ordner mit mehr als 1000 Dateien im Explorer ewig warten musste, bis sie angezeigt wurden. Und wenn man, wie ich die letzten Jahre, nur auf die Ordneransicht in MP angewiesen war, war ich um einiges schneller, wenn ich ein Clip im jeweiligen Buchstaben gesucht habe.

As for my folder structure, I 'm just a burned child. Long times it was a long time to wait if you have more than 1000 files in one folder to show it in explorer. And if you are reliant to work only with folder structure, it was much faster to search clips by the first letter.

musik clips sind doch immer identisch mit musik -> artist - title bzw. artist - album.
genau so benenne ich die auch.
musik passen alle sort. optionen, mvcentral habe ich eben festgestellt, du hast recht keine ahnung seit wann - muss überprüfen.
