I don't use MediaPortal, is DefaultWide the same as DefaultWideHD? If so then make sure to check it during install, if not then the skin is not supported.

after the recebt changes (running shoko on Synology) I have now recognised that I can't play from within the plugin:

As we're getting ready for the next release, I wanted to give MA3 users a head ups on the status of MA3 going forward.

Unfortunately due to time constraints and the fact that no one on our Dev team users MA3 anymore, we''ll be putting MA3 into maintenance mode.

I've mentioned this before but the only two devs who know anything about MA3, @Rick164 and Maxpiva no longer use it and are extremely busy with other side projects at this time. I also mentioned awhile back that MA3 would no longer receive new features as we had implemented everything needed. Some people have asked about a potential plugin for MP2 and while it's something we considered, its not going to happen.

Of course, if there's someone who'd like to continue development, send me a message on Discord and we can answer any questions you might have.

I'm sorry for that. But now which plugin do I have to use to interface MP with Shoko? Or can I go on to use MA3 even if it will not upgraded anymore?

You can still use MA3 and will be able to for the foreseeable future, we're not dropping support for it. You just wont see any new features or bug fixes from us unless a bug is introduced by a change we make in Shoko Server.
