I've been working on it.... slowly, when I have the time.

    done:
a psuedo-Maya Basic Home layout: short, non-scrolling main menu with hidden sub-menus (so far doesn't use the Maya config (more options than needed for SD screen)
    Rockstar
    Last.FM
Music (still working on PlayList have not started NowPlaying)
    TV Series is mostly done

Now that I have a working aMPed for MP 1.2 installed, I am less motivated. :sorry:

I like the design of Maya, but it doesn't translate easily to 4:3, the Maya fonts are hard to read on an NTSC TV at even size 16 (kerning issue) and there isn't a lot of room for all the information on many screens, I'll have to resort to secondary overlays to show some information. I also have to darken all the backgrounds for my TV (NTSC has a lot narrower color bandwidth.. and much brighter display). I have to finish adding a <control>colordiffuse=ffcccccc</control> to all the backgrounds and overlays. I can't tolerate stretched images, so I've made all the fanart and background images 720x440 with a mask to fade the top and bottom into the screen (posX,posY=0,0).. background Artist thumbs have a mask to fade all sides into the background (keepaspectratio=yes).

It's just a lot to consider.

Thx for the update. Take your time... I will probably have a look at aMPed again when it is ready. But it would be good to have more choices - you know what I mean...
