yes, it's PCI, but internally it's a USB hub with 2 tuners... and the system detects new usb hub & devices...

Its 2 usb tuners attached to a via usb controller chip, that feeds through the pci connections, hence in device manager it is usb and behaves as such.

Are we talking about the same product? See here. It's a PCI card. Paranoid Delusion, are you sure this card doesn't work after standby? It's PCI, not USB

Am i sure, YEP got one, running as we type (MP windowed of course) and recording.

Ugh what a bad idea! Hauppauge really messed it up this time :( . I've been very lucky of not finding one.

After two weeks using it, I can say that it's a good TV card, at least with Media Portal (as I said before, it's better to avoid Pinnacle software). If signal on the aerial is strong, it works perfectly. I get perfect recordings, with one or the two tuners. No stutter or freezes or anything.

Pepto, that's the same card (PCTV 2000i = dual DVB-T = Pinnacle Royal). I've been using it for 5 months now and it's doing well it's work, even if signal is not very strong. Pinnacle software sucks and the CD that came with the card was scratched !!

But there is no Linux driver for it (perhaps in some months...)
