Hey, I am trying to finish setting up a cheap HTPC. I have some components already (like wireless card, a bigger HD). I am stuck on the audio portion of the build. I am not sure if the current setup I have queued (listed below) will produce sound for live TV, music, movies, etc.

I have read in a few places that I can use the integrated soundcard to fit my needs, but I the cable I already have is regular TV/DVD/VCR audio/video cable(red, white and yellow cables). I also have one that plugs into my laptop using the red, white and yellow cables on one end and 1/8" jack on the other. Sorry to run-on like this, but I have yet to find help.
So, I basically need to know if I need to get a soundcard that will fit my specs belwo or can I use the integrated card on the barebones system I have (also below).

(Only for AMD Based Systems)

This could be worrying though, since you chose to build a Intel system?
Don't know how picky those modules can be, but they can generate trouble in this case.

Just my 2€.

Or get another RAM module?

You could always check with your vendor if that module plays well with Intel...
