is it the wrong place for this type of bug?

What makes you think that it is a bug? It works fine for me ... :)

Does this happen with all CDs that you try to play, or just a particular CD?

Have you used a previous version of MediaPortal, and did it work OK on that version?

Can you play MP3 files from within My Music (from the HDD)?

Do you have the CD player (drive D:?) configured as a folder in My Music Setup?

MP looks like it is hanging when it is trying to create the playlist of tracks on the CD - do you have a folder configured for playlists?

I test at least 10 differents CD, with the same problem

It'is my first install, I succeed to set up and run MyTV, DVD, Weather etc.. and fail with My Music!

    I didn't test yet MP3

    Yes

    Yes

Yours questions give me an idea to follow up and I test .wav files ripped from a cd to the HDD, on the MP MyMusic folder, make the inputs into the music database and.... it works and after I finally succeed to read CD.

So if the Music Database is empty you can't read directly the CD. As soon as you process some database records this pb disapears.

Many thanks for your help, for the bug you have to decide.

I think you might be right - this does sound like a bug afterall ...

To clarify - if the music database is empty, MP will not play a CD - it hangs trying to build the playlist ...
