My Netflix 1.4 for MP 1.2 (5 Viewers)

With WilE's help and encouragement I have created My Netflix version 1.4 which installs and runs on MP 1.2 final release. This version also fixes two long standing irritants. You can now play episodes from the list of episodes that you get when you select a "movie" aka TV show with episodes. Also if you have show details enabled you can now play the movie from either the queue list or from the details screen. Both of the new 1.2 skins Default and Default Wide are supported.

I will be anxious to here your results with this, but this is my first pass at working on a plugin so if I forgot something that should have been obvious be gentle.

The installer will put everything in the correct places. If this is your first time with My Netfilx you should download the Configuration PDF and follow it.

I use Mouse to control old "My Netflix", today i upgraded and installed this version and looks like it uses silverlight and once i select movie from MP how do i go back to MP? i can't seem to find any close button around.

Ofcouse i dont have keyboard connected. Also even if i 'exit full' screen i still dont see any bar around to close the window.

Hey javastring,
The 'Stop' button should close the browser and return you to MP. If not then the movie is not in focus and you have another issue.

Will this work with StreamedMP if I take the MyNetflix.xml from my 1.2 beta install and use it for the 1.2 final?

I haven't tried it, but there is no reason it should not work as none of the code that affects skins was changed. Thus, any of the previously supported skins should work by copying over the files.

i'm probably missing something. where is the configuration pdf that is mentioned above? i'm getting a missing XML file error.

Edit: hmm, if it's the readme.pdf found in the original 1.3 thread, then that doesn't help. i already did the config as outlined there. so why am i missing an XML file? do i need to download one from somewhere? or should the app have done that for me?

Hey javastring,

Yes i only use mouse to control Media portal and no remote - I have been using with MP 1.1 for over year or more no issues.

i didnt see STOP button anywhere...should that be on top right, left? when i play movie it seems to have focused fine. where i ususally get pause and trackable point to move movie forward and reverse.

i figured out the issue. sorry for my newb-ness. seems i was using an incompatible skin. i grabbed the previous version of My Netflix and used the files for my skin from that one. they seem to work just fine, so i'm wondering why they weren't included in the new version.
