My Pictures Slideshow killing CPU (1 Viewer)

I have a D 3.0ghz processor. My pictures are on a network share.

When I start a slideshow both of my processors (Hyper Thread) jump to 80-90% plus.

Why is this? This sustained cpu load adds considerable heat to an allready compact space in my lowprofile HTPC.

Any settings that I can use to reduce the cpu need on slideshow?

Not having that prob here, but there is high cpu use when it makes thumbnails.

This is during slideshow playback. I donno if it's related to tumbnails.

Leave it in the folder so it creates thumbnails & then start to watch slideshow (thats what i did here)

hmm.. so maby, I could go into all my folders and force it to generate thumbnails. That way when company is over and we want to watch a slideshow, it should be all ready to go?
