My Radio: how does it work? (1 Viewer)

The question is simple: how does the My Radio plugin works?

Which player does it use?

Which stream formats does it support, and which does it not?

Which files does it use to play streams?


There is no documentation, the manual doesn't says anything that any user can see just opening the My radio configuration.


Is there anybody who knows how this crappy plugin works, and got it to work, or is it just a useless part of Mediaportal, just to say "Hey dude! Mediaportal plays radio too!"?


MediaPortal is great. But this radio plugin is just driving me crazy.

Which player does it use? Windows Media player or the BASS depend on your setting up the music section

Which stream formats does it support, and which does it not?pls shoutcast and all WMA, ASX stations

Which files does it use to play streams? I dont understand the question, Direct show filters or bass

Is it possible that in some case BASS engine fails to start, and that MediaPortal opens the radio stream with another player?


I aks this beacause the radio plugin in my MP has very strange behaviours, depending on which stream I try to open.

For example:
mms://vip8.yacast.fr/encodereurope1


This stream leads MP to crash if played from My Radio, but plays fine if played from My Music. If both plugins use BASS, I don't understand this difference from one plugin to the other.
