Mzemina, thank you. I answer your questions.
My concerns about this plugin are:

1) The main page of the plugin has to be in french as I have MP in French.
In MP there is a folder "language" and also a file called "Strings". Why the myshowtime plugin doesn t include all the words inside this folder and this file (I think this will be interesting for all users wanting this plugin working in their own language.)?

2) I think the above point is easy to solve. After that the plugin works perfectly well: it grabbs the 3 existing theaters in Montelimar (Mzemina, 3 theaters and not 2, try directly with the myshowtime plugin) , it dowloads, in french, all the movies.

3) The problems are: as trailers are downloaded from Apple site, they are in english and, for the example we are speaking about (Montelimar) it is possible to download only 3 trailers from the 19 existing movies, that is why another site would be better I think.
Another problem is about the theaters schedules: there is no information at all and this is a pity because this information is given in allocine.com for example.

4) About the crash: it is a windows issue because a window pop up appears saying; "Mediaportal.exe found a problem and must be closed. We apologize...etc..."

To sumarize: the most important points to be solved are
1) main page in French
2) Theaters schedules working

3) more trailers and if possible in French

Mzemina, have a look on that:

First page, in "Rechercher" (Find) enter Montelimar in"toutallocine"

You wll see the 3 Theaters; Templiers, Palace, 7 Nefs.

If you click in one of them, you will see:
- the list of films
-"Voir bande annonce" means "see trailer"
-'Les horaires" (showtimes) for the week, friday, saturday, etc...

This is this last point that is missing in the plugin.
If I right click in one of these texts, I can see "download by Orbit" "grab video" so I think maybe it is easy to grabb everythink from this site, no?

Well I am not a developer, so everything seems easy! (I know that Ant Movie Catalog grabbs from Allocine)

Jean-Marc - This morning (prior to these postings) I emailed the author of the MTSA program - Once I hear back I will then inform him about this other website. Note: It appears that some other (other than the main author) helped out with the French and one other country portion of this MTSA program. All I can do at th ecurrent time is pass along information. If the author supports the changes then it will be a matter to nicely ask falkyre if the changes can be incorporated, but understand it is up to people before falkyre can be involved.

I'm back. OK so I rebuilt my system.
Running th every very latest SVN...not real happy with it. video is screwed up.
But anyway, I still get the freeze when I use the plugin. I get the video icons and th edetails around them. But when I go to the list of theaters it hangs. The only option I have is to kill MP to recover.
I know you had another xml file, I am pretty sure I am using it. Still no go.

And what news about Falkyre? It seems he went to hollidays!!

Is it possible to add something to his plugin (what I don t know) to be able to translate it (I am not speaking about the data that are obtained by MTSA, I am speaking of the plugin page itself): Myshowtime, big icons, show theaters, etc...how to translate that?
I tried to edit the myshowtimeGUI.xml that is located into SKIN and BLUE 2 : I changed the english words I've found between the < > but when I then open again MP, it says that the "myshowtimeGUI.xml" has invalid files!

Well, I know, I do not understand programation, but I try...and everything because I love this plugin and I think it will really be USEFUL for me!

I have the same problem. Before it crashes, do you have the message from windows: " Mediaportal.exe had a problem and must be closed...etc..."?

It ONLY crashes when I am in the theaters list and when I try to move from one theater to another with the arrow key.

I must say that the crash doesn't always occur, this is strange, but I am not able to say when it occurs and when it doesn't...

Jean-Marc - I think Falkyre's family activies have taken priority (as they should) over MediaPortal development at the present time.

I believe that language dependancy can be accomplished, Falkyre will need to address this. Anything you can supply to help with translation I know would be appreciated.

You guys may need to prioritize what items you want him to work (in the order you think is important) on to help so he doesn't get pulled in too many directions at once when he is able to work on this plugin again. Note: Some items (like streaming video, which would have to wait on MTSA to provide the streaming URLS) may take longer than others. I'm sure the crash is important so the more info the better and try to make the crash to repeat if possible. I haven't been able to make it crash for me but I may not be trying the same thing you are.

Hi guys,

I am here and as Mike says, right now I'm a little busy with family stuff.

In order for proper translation I need to change some things in the code a bit. Even if you change some of the XML, there is some hard coded stuff in the code that forces to English. Shouldn't be hard to do, the problem is I won't have time until April to start looking at the code again. I agree with Mike, if someone could get a list of issues/suggestions together, I will look at them all at once and see what can be done. Some things such as parsing for show times are MTSA code and although I have looked into some of that code, I haven't done alot.

I do have plans for a version 2 but maybe there should be a 1.1 version with some of these issues ironed out. One issue that I can recreate BUT haven't been able to fix is the crashing of MP with the Blue Two skin (doesn't happen with the MeePo skins at all). I am going to have to do a full debug pass on that one. Again, I won't have time until April :sorry:

Hi guys,

the Dutch site that MTSA uses to get it's information has changed it's format. This is why the cities aren't being downloaded. Mike has contacted Jim about it and I have looked into the VB code and have it partially working but haven't had time to finish it. As I have said in a few other posts, I will not be bale to get back to coding until April because of family priorities.

idioteque - I am wondering if the website that
MTSA uses for Netherlands is: http://www.belbios.nl - it could be that this website has changed its format and now MTSA isn't able to send/recieve the data from this website. Like any screenscraping program it will break wiht the underlying format of the website changes. If you would like we can ask the developer of MTSA (the underlying program which falkyre is using to obtain the data) if this is the case?
