Thanks Richard,

found your problem:

loadPlugins C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process\ShowTimesGUI.dll

The ShowTimesGUI.dll must be in the windows plugins directory, not the process plugin directlroy in order for it to load.

falkyre,

Can you help out a fellow flatlander?

I am in Moose Jaw, SK. I can get theatres for Regina and Saskatoon, but not any theatres for MJ. We actually, only have one, Galaxy Cinema.

Anything that I can try to get the listings from here?

Thanks!!

I am south of your border (and a little east of Moose Jaw). I have Yahoo through my ISP and they have a nice agregator for Yahoo and they allow selection of more theaters that is what shown on Yahoo's movie page. I found I can choose a specific theater once I learn the theater ID. The problem then comes from not being able to allow the MTSA.exe program from including that specific theater (even though I have the theaterID) and presenting the XML with that including theater. I guess what it will take is to look at the logic of the MTSA.exe code and see if I can modify it to allow specific theaterIDs, maybe from a commandline switch (maybe) and if that can happen then seeing if this would break the excellent plugin that has been created for us.

I know this is rambling, but I have to get back to work. The problem is in the MTSA code, not the plugin.

I don't know if you can find your theaters in Yahoo Movies, have you looked?

    Hi MojoFlow,

Mike is correct, the grabber is the mtsa.exe program and it, for North America, uses Yahoo movies to get the Show Times. If it's not in Yahoo, it won't be able to be grabbed using mtsa.exe without some extra development.

On a side note...Lived in Moose Jaw for 4 years, played football for the Central Cyclones, lived on the Air Force base. Galaxy wasn't in the Towne and Country mall when I was living there!!

Send me your postal code and I'll see what's up. I probably won't be able to start working on anything until at least April. Hockey season for my son is taking up a large amount of my time and then a trip to Dallas at the end of March.

I was wondering if it was a limitation on MTSA.

I did check, and the theatre is in MTSA. I even tried to modify the theaters.xml (not sure if this is the exact file, I am at work now), to include my city and theatre name and it didn't work.

I may try to contact the author of MTSA unless falkyre has any other ideas.

    Cheers!

    Hi Mike,

I'm interested in seeing what you have found. Can you explain a little more about the aggregator? Maybe we can integrate that into the plugin or modify mtsa.exe. I've started playing with the code in the mtsa.exe to fix the Netherlands issue but as usual, time is not on my side.

Looks like I replied just after you falkyre.

Cool that you lived in town, sounds like we went to the same High School :)

Ya, they tore down the 'mini' theatre, and the Capital Theatre has been renovated into a live performances theatre now.

    Big changes ;)

Anyway, my postal code is S6H 3N2, and the theatre is showing up in Yahoo.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

Will the postal code of: S6H 2C4
    work?

Looks like my choice wasn't very close.
