My sound has worked fine until i downloaded arcsofts dtsdecoderdll.dll and copied the file into lav filters. After i did that my sound is fucked up, or there is no sound at all, just a loud hacking noise. The only way i can get around that is to enable bitsreaming with dts or dolby but then the base and sorround eats up all other sound. Wy is this happening and is there a fix?

Why do you need arcsoft dtsdecoder.dll?

If you uninstall LAV filters completely, then re-install - will that fix it?

    Hi.
Why do you need arcsoft dtsdecoder.dll?
If you’re lucky enough to own a copy of ArcSoft’s TotalMedia Theater, there is some good news for you. In combination with the DTS decoder from TMT, LAV Audio is capable of full high quality DTS-HD decoding.

DTS-HD is the most common audio format to be found on Blu-rays, and before LAV Audio, it was quite a chore to get full decoding of this format – not anymore.

With LAV Audio, decoding DTS-HD is as simple as decoding any other audio format. You just need to get the “dtsdecoderdll.dll” from your “Codecs” directory inside the TMT installation, and drop it inside the directory you installed LAV Audio to. Thats all!

This is because your AVR is not capable of playing DTS-HD Sound. For this you need to set up LAVF to use "Core DTS" only...

That's odd. I can bitstream DTS-HD just using LAV as it is.

No it doesn´t. And it doesn´t help removing the dtsdecoder.dll file either.[DOUBLEPOST=1393255146][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes but why could i play videos with good sound before i dropped dtsdecoderinto lav-filters? Now it seems to be permanent damage :( I have re-installed lav-filters, uninstalled TotalMedia Theater and deleted the dtsdecoder.dll, but it´s still no sound, only noise. I cant even play videos with regular dts or dolby, doesnt matter if it´s hd or not.
