The problems I had been having where related to "my tv". Just couldn't get it to work. When I'd click on "my tv", It would take me to the "my tv" section, and a blank dialogue box would appear, with "my tv" as the title. After hours of goofing around with channel scanning, and setting up the guide (thanks to the wonderful tutorials here), I got past all that and "my tv" was working.</p><p></p><p>So I figured I'd move on. I have plenty of video stored on another machine that I couldn't get to work, so I start working on that. I have my video folder added, and I choose video... Locked... I CAN get to video without locking if I do not have my network drive mapped. But this is all besides the point. </p><p></p><p>I decide that I'm going to jsut watch some tv, and maybe try recording something. So after restarting MP (after the lockup) and go into tv, I find that I get the blank dialoge box again, and no tv ability, no guide, my channels are all messed up. What the heck!!</p><p></p><p>So whats the deal? I have to rescan channels and redownload the guide every time I restart???</p><p></p><p>If you could only see the tears in my eyes...</p><p></p><p>I've repeatedly gone back through the very steps that I got "my tv" working with, and no luck getting it back what so ever. I guess it was a fluke that I got it working in the first place...</p><p></p><p></p><p>****EDIT</p><p></p><p>Just an update...</p><p></p><p>I'm still tring to get tv to work, and it seems to be getting worse. I'll do the scan in autotune for my card, channels look good, fire up MP and I get that stupid blank dialogue box. Exit out, go back to MP setup >channels, and low and behold; channel list is empty! So I re-scan, and now the preview box is blank while it's scanning channels. It just gets worse. Now I'm not sure how I got it work in the first place. All I really did before was to repeat the same process' over and over again.</p></blockquote><p></p>
